About DGCA
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is a statutory body formed under the Aircraft Amendment Bill 2020. This directorate body investigates aviation accidents and incidents. It is headquartered along Sri Aurobindo Marg, opposite Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi.

- Further, Approval to aircraft maintenance, repair, design and manufacturing organizations, and their continued oversight
- Safety Oversight of all entities approved/ certified/ licensed under the Aircraft Rules 1937.
In addition to these functions, DGCA also gives Approval of institutes engaged in flying training including simulator training, AME Training, air traffic services training, or any other training-related to aviation, with a view to ensuring a high quality of training.
